About Coffinity

Coffinity was founded by Mike Long in 2000. Mike had served as CFO for two early-stage VC firms and as CFO of a start-up technology company, and he wanted to make an impact with tech companies directly. 

At Coffinity, our goal as your partner is to help give you your best chance to build something great, by implementing robust financial management processes and structures that can scale, and by giving you access to expert financial analysis and strategic guidance.

The team is based in Delaware, the legal home of many great companies and a beautiful place to call home as you can see from the photos.

From Zero to $20M Revenue and a Strategic Exit

As acting CFO with Interactive Clinical Technologies we helped the two co-founders grow the business into a material niche player servicing clinical trials, with zero need for outside equity. We fought through all the challenges: from dicey cash management issues, to rudimentary operating issues, to securing a line of credit, to establishing option plans, to recruiting advisors and ultimately to final negotiation for sale of the company. The sale was to Galen Pharmaceuticals for a multiple of revenue.

15+ Years as CFO, Dozens of Companies with Bill Melton

Bill Melton is a venture capitalist and entrepreneur widely known for having founded several companies including Verifone, a payments technology company and CyberCash.  Bill founded a series of venture capital funds and we provided CFO, accounting and administrative services as part of his team for 15+ years. The fund group included domestic, foreign (Mauritius) and SBIC funds with management company operations in the US, India and China. As acting CFO we saw the fund and its portfolio companies through all kinds of challenges. We heavily participated in all of the portfolio company investments including negotiations, documentation, recaps and troubled situations.

Mike Long

Principal

Mike provides senior-level financial insight, analysis, and counsel that Coffinity’s clients count on to
guide their growth strategy. In Mike’s 25+ years of working in Finance and Accounting, he has served as CFO for two early stage venture funds that invested in more than 100 technology companies, as wells as CFO of the founding management team of a successful start-up pharmaceutical services company. Earlier in his career Mike was a tax specialist and KPMG alum and CPA.

Annmarie Long

Principal

Annmarie is a CPA with over 25 years of experience as an accountant, controller, manager and auditor. Annmarie’s prior work experience includes 9 years at Deloitte & Touche. As a Senior Audit Manager, she has worked with a number of private and publicly held companies in various industries, including technology, health care and not for profit, assisting with accurate reporting, recordkeeping and compliance. Her current focus is assisting clients with financial operations, administration and Human Resources, implementing processes and tools for accurate reporting and better efficiencies, various administration projects including Human Resource liaison and payroll and cleaning up books and records.

Ann Pollock

Manager

Ann is an Associate Chartered Accounts with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, qualifying in September 2000.  She has worked for Coffinity since the summer of 2019, and has been a self-employed accountant since late 2007.  Previously, Ann worked for Deloitte LLP as a senior manager in both the audit and professional services review teams.  Ann is experienced in working with QuickBooks, preparing client financial reporting documents, and meeting client demands.
